Myofascial release is a growing trend  in the massage therapy and medical community. More than just a rub down, this form of massage is reported to have far reaching benefits. Most treatments specifically focus on muscles seeking  to  relax muscles by applying pressure  and gently manipulating them. Myofascial Release does this too, but it takes one step further. It operates on the principle that you store stress and tension in your muscles and your connective tissue.

  • Trigger Point Therapy:

    Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger point therapy is indicated if the patient is suffering with radiating pain (example: headache that is radiating to the temporal area which is very common in corporate employees). The goal of the treatment is to release all the active trigger points in your muscles.

Trigger point is a tight irritated muscle band in stressed muscle which cause radiating pain with decreased mobility within the muscle itself leads to a poor muscle performance and strength. Trigger point therapy as part of your regular massage therapy session maximises the performance of the muscle by reducing radiating pain and increasing mobility.  In most cases, the pain felt in a different area than the actual trigger point irritation.

Trigger point therapy focuses over four hundred muscles in human body which can potentially develop trigger point with radiating pain and dysfunction. Active trigger points can cause muscle weakness with poor coordination of muscles fibbers. Getting a treatment from an experienced massage therapist for active trigger point is very important due to its typical nature of referred pain patterns. You might need multiple trigger point therapy sessions incorporated with muscle hydration, breathing exercises to increase the oxygen level and specific stretching exercises designed for affected muscles. We have unique treatments for each and every trigger points with specific remedial exercise plan.

Swedish massage is the recommended prenatal massage method during pregnancy because it addresses many common discomforts associated with the skeletal and circulatory changes brought on by hormone shifts during pregnancy.

Sciatic nerve pain is experienced by many women in late pregnancy as the uterus rests on muscles of the pelvic floor and lower back. The pressure of the uterus spreads tension to the muscles of the upper and lower leg, causing them to swell and put pressure on nearby nerves. Massage therapy addresses the inflamed nerves by helping to release the tension on nearby muscles. Many women have experienced significant reduction in sciatic nerve pain during pregnancy massage therapy.
