1Health history intake forms
On your initial visit for the treatment, you will be asked to fill out our health history intake form and sign the client consent. You can also print the health history forms under the New Patient Center/online forms of the website. Completing the health history form in full and detail is very important and mandatory as per the regulated health professions act, so that the therapist will have better knowledge about your condition to move to the second step of you treatment. All the information you provide with your health history is strictly confidential and not shared with any other party under Regulated Health Professions Act unless advised in written consent by yourself.
You may e mail us the completed form to reception@therapyone.ca, bring it in with you to your scheduled appointment or keep it with you for scheduled home visits, therapist will collect it with the initial visit.

2Client interview and assessment
Once you have your health history forms ready, you will enter to the second step where you discus your specific condition to the therapist. Therapist will perform an orthopedic assessment according to your condition which includes range of motion tests, special orthopedic test, postural analysis and neurological tests.
Alternatively, if you feel confident about the mode and type of therapy, you have the option to skip this step and enter directly to our wellness program.
33D Interactive client education
We believe in client education, as we all know, it’s all connected and one condition leads to another. Knowing your muscles, nerves, and bones give you a better understanding about your condition. We use 3D interactive interface to explain the muscle along with its origin and insertion, nerve supply, action, fascial adhesion, hypertonic muscle groups, trigger points and its effects on every structure and your general well being. It will give you an overall knowledge about your unique condition.
4Treatments and treatment plan
Once we have the better and bigger picture about your condition, therapist will be able to tell you the best treatment and treatment plan suitable for your unique condition or the therapist will work with your best pick. All treatments are done only within your comfort and tolerance level and the therapist will check with you about your comfort level throughout the session. The frequency of treatments dependents on various factors such as nature of you condition, age, pre-existing conditions, postural imbalances, and overall health status.
5Restorative treatments and remedial exercises
Most people come in to see the therapist because they are in pain. In most cases, it can be associated with muscle tightness, trigger points, fscial adhesion, joint irritation ect.. Our primary goal is reduce your symptoms as early as possible and it might take frequent visits for few weeks with unique treatments and remedial exercises which you can do it your own. Our unique remedial exercise plan helps you to stay in where you reach with each treatment and makes the healing faster. This step can be skipped if you feel confident about your condition and request only wellness care for your general well being.
6Wellness care
Within few weeks of restorative treatments and remedial exercises, your body should reach normal pain free functional ability. Our goal is to make the best out of it and keep you healthy for ever. Wellness care is more like a healthy life style designed to use your health care benefits wisely throughout the year to stay in health. This includes treatments once in three weeks to once in a month with remedial exercises designed to maximize the optimum performance of different muscle groups and general well being. The frequency of wellness care dependents on various factors such as age, pre-existing conditions, postural imbalances, and overall health status. The therapist will suggest you the best wellness care plan according to your condition and you can discuss deferent options to fit your plan within your health care benefit plan. You can stop or modify the treatment and treatment plan anytime without any cost or long term commitment.
